Dorking Children’s Allotment is a community project started in 2015 and run by a core group of parents for local children, educated at school or home-schooled. Our plot is located on Ranmore Road behind St Martins School.
Dorking Children’s Allotment provides a learning and play space that also helps bring a sense of community to those involved.
We learn about and grow fruit, vegetables, flowers and herbs. We teach and enable the children to grow their own, so they can live more sustainable lives as adults.
The project has many avenues for development to benefit both the children and parents involved and we especially welcome children who do not have a garden.
If you would like to get involved, please e mail Transition Dorking. There is an active (closed) Facebook group where day dates for visits are arranged.
